Top Sonoma and San Francisco hairstylist Len Handeland owned Utopia Salon in Union Square for 9 years. Now he is pleased to call two salons home: Frange Blue Salon in San Francisco just off Union Square, and Cheveux Salon in Sonoma across from the Plaza.
His Vidal Sassoon based training comes from an extensive
2+ year apprenticeship including both Di Pietro Todd Salon and the former DeKroon Salon & Spa in San Francisco, where he was able to refine his cutting and coloring skills
In addition, Len was the color educator at his own former salon, specializing in color and highlighting, and was proud to be voted Best of CitySearch for color and highlights in 2006. Len uses the Wella color line, and is known for his "blonding technique".
